How do I become a client?To become a client: Complete application. An Aardvarks team member will contact you to schedule an evaluation visit. Your dog will be introduced to our play groups to determine if they will work well in our daycare environment.

How old does my dog need to be to go to Aardvarks?Generally, dogs must be at least 16 weeks of age or older. All dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered.

What are the vaccination requirements?All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof of Rabies, DHLPP and Bordetella vaccinations.

What are the health requirements?All dogs must be in good health. Owners will certify their dogs are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. Upon admission, all dogs must be free from any condition which could potentially jeopardize our other guests. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require a veterinarian certification of health to be admitted.

What are the group play requirements?Behavior Dogs must not be aggressive. Owners will certify their dog(s) has/have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dogs(s). Please remember, your dog will be spending time with other dogs and the safety and health of all animals is our main concern. Breed Restrictions Unfortunately, some dogs do not do well in the daycare setting due to their play style. However, we treat every dog as an individual. (Traditionally, mature Bully Breeds do not do well in this type of setting).

How to schedule an evaluation?Application All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved application on file. There is a one-time $15.00 non-refundable application screening fee. This is due on the evaluation day. Application can be emailed or dropped off. Email: aardvarksdtc@gmail.com. Scheduling an Evaluation All evaluations must be pre-scheduled. We do not allow drop-ins. Evaluations are scheduled Tuesday-Friday ONLY and your dog must be here by 8AM. Expect a minimum 2 week wait time when scheduling evaluations.

Is bedding provided?We provide beds and blankets to all boarding dogs. We discourage personal bedding as it runs the risk of being damaged by another dog. We can accommodate certain personal belongings if needed.

How do we feed our boarding clients?We do not provide in house food. We recommend that all dogs maintain their regular diet from home to prevent allergy flare-ups, loose bowels, or upset tummies. We accommodate all diets: kibble, canned, raw, homecooked, etc.

What if my dog needs medication?There is no extra charge to administer medications. We will need detailed instructions for all medication at time of drop off (how much, how often, how they take it). We administer most medication types: oral, topical, etc. We do NOT administer injections.
